About the work

Picture-making and wordsmithing are not mutually exclusive things. Marks on paper - glyphs, symbols, characters, and codes. Imagery. Story Telling. What can’t be telegraphed through various alphabets, are drawn and painted.

Phenomena, natural or manmade, elicit multiple responses through various media - thoughts realized immediately or revisited over time. Resulting text and images function not so much in the capacity of one illustrating the other, but rather, serve as traveling companions. The imagery here - whether examined individually or collectively - reveals an alternate route taken to discover the geneses of  subconscious reactions to the original stimuli.
